Consideration of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Drivers Licence

Decision:

RESOLVED: That the Hackney Carriage / Private Hire Driver’s Licence be granted.

REASON: The Sub-Committee were satisfied that the driver was a fit and proper person to hold a licence.

 

Minutes:

Exclusion of the Press and Public

 

The Sub-Committee resolved to exclude the press and public from this item on the basis that if they were present during the business to be transacted there would be a likelihood of disclosure of exempt information, within the meaning of Schedule12A to the Local Government Act 1972 namely, information relating to any individual and information which was likely to reveal the identity of an individual.

 

RESOLVED

 

That the applicant was considered a fit and proper person to hold a hackney carriage/private hire driver licence.  And that the licence be granted.  This licence should be for a probationary period of 12 months and delegated authority be given to the Officer to review the licence at the end of this period and extend it.  However, if the Officers have any concerns the licence will be reconsidered by the Regulatory Sub-Committee.

 

In the event of any misdemeanor or future convictions the licence would be referred back to the Regulatory Sub-Committee.
