Emmaline spoke to the meeting about Gravity– As you might be aware, the report taken to Full Council on 18th June 2024 referenced the Council’s ambition to set up a Gravity Enterprise Zone Local Community Forum.  The Local Community Forum would have representatives from both site owners – This is Gravity Limited and Agratas (and any future occupiers), alongside Council officers. The Local Community Forum will seek to make sure that there is a forum for the local community to engage with the project and get a holistic update from the relevant stakeholders involved with the delivery of the project. It will also act as a vehicle to raise issues and provide feedback that will be reported back to the Executive Sub-Committee to act upon.

The Local Community Networks are key local stakeholders and therefore could play an important role in the delivery of the Forum to ensure the interest of the communities are represented.

We expect the details of how the Forum will operate to emerge in the near future and the LCNs closest to the site, and therefore most affected by the development, should in due course consider how they want to engage with the Forum.
