Public Question Time The Chair to advise the Committee of any items on which members of the public have requested to speak and advise those members of the public present of the details of the Council’s public participation scheme.
For those members of the public who have submitted any questions or statements, please note, a three-minute time limit applies to each speaker.

To consider an application for Outline Planning Permission with some matters reserved for the development of 9 dwellings and vehicular access, landscaping, public open space and related infrastructure and engineering works with details of access. Additional documents: Decision: RESOLVED
That planning application 2024/0579/OUT be APPROVED in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation with an additional requirement to the S106 agreement to seek to secure contributions for active travel in accordance with section 122 of the CIL regulations. Delegated authority to be made to Officers, the Chair and Vice-Chair and Divisional Members.

To consider an application for the erection of 20 dwellings (including affordable housing) with associated highway access, public open space, landscaping & external works, including demolition of outbuilding & installation of sewage pumping station & electricity sub-station. Additional documents: Decision: RESOLVED
That planning application 2024/1865/FUL be DEFERRED contrary to the Officer’s recommendation to allow for more information to be gathered on the impact of the scheme on the discharge of sewage into the River Frome, the designated wild swimming area at Farleigh Hungerford and further clarification regarding the need of a financial contribution to the provision of primary health care in the village.
Votes – 6 for, 6 against. The casting vote by the Chair was for deferral, making the final vote 7 for, 6 against.
