Hinkley Point Strategic Delivery Forum

The Hinkley Strategic Delivery Forum (HSDF) was set up by the Government in 2012 to ensure that Somerset and the wider South West region benefits from the construction and operation of the UK’s first new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.

HSDF is led and coordinated by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), which is responsible for the Government’s new nuclear programme. HSDF’s membership includes local government, education, employment and business representatives from across Somerset, together with representatives from national government, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and from EDF Energy, the developer of Hinkley Point C. HSDF meets quarterly.

HSDF’s priorities include infrastructure improvements, housing development, education, skills and training, employment opportunities, attracting new businesses to Somerset, and helping local and regional businesses to become part of the Hinkley Point C supply chain.
