Information about Scrutiny for Policies, Adults and Health Committee

The Scrutiny for Policies, Adults and Health Committee ensures the effective performance of the scrutiny arrangements of the County Council, so that they can:

  • review and/or scrutinise decisions made or actions taken in connection with the discharge of any of the Council’s functions;
  • consider any matter affecting the area or its inhabitants, including matters relating to the national health service in the authority’s area;
  • ensure the voice and concerns of local people and the wider community are heard;
  • make reports and/or recommendations to the full Council and/or the Cabinet, along with other relevant committees and partner bodies;
  • assist Cabinet in the review, revision and development of policy.

  • Learning and Physical Disabilities
  • Adult Care & Support Services
  • Community Safety
