The Chair will allow members of the public to present a petition on any matter within the Committee’s remit. Questions or statements about the matters on the agenda for this meeting will be taken at the time when the matter is considered and after the Case Officers have made their presentations. Each speaker will be allocated 3 minutes. The length of public question time will be no more than 30 minutes.

The Regulation Committee resolved that planning permissions SCC/3627/2019 and SCC/3628/2019 be REFUSED as the applicant has not successfully demonstrated that there is a requirement to amend the existing conditions (applications 3/32/16/018 and 3/32/17/005) that no radioactive waste shall be imported to the site from outside the Hinkley Point ‘A’ site to minimise detriment to the surrounding area.

Decision:

The Committee resolved in respect of planning application no. SCC/3637/2019 that planning permission be GRANTED subject to the conditions set out in section 8 of the officer’s report and that authority to undertake any minor non-material editing which may be necessary to the wording of those conditions be delegated to the Service Manager, Planning Control Enforcement & Compliance.

 

The Committee further noted that in their opinion any future applications should be of a permanent nature.
