Resolution to exclude the Press and Public

The Sub Committee resolved to exclude the press and public from the rest of the meeting on the basis that if they were present during the business to be transacted there would be a likelihood of disclosure of exempt information within the meaning of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, namely:

Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information).

Information in respect of which a claim to legal professional privilege could be maintained in legal proceedings.

Information relating to any action taken or to be taken in connection with the prevention, investigation or prosecution of crime.

The press and the public left the meeting and the recording of it was stopped.

RESOLVED

Having considered all the circumstances, the Sub-Committee determines that:

1.      The Club Premises Certificate for Yeovil Labour Club be revoked.

2.      The DPS for the Yeovil Labour Club be removed.

3.      The conditions set out in Schedule 1 below be endorsed on the Premises Licence for the Yeovil Labour Club

4.      The Premises Licence for Yeovil Labour Club be suspended for a period of 3 months to enable the requirements of the new conditions to be put in place and for the Club to put in place a new DPS.

All relevant parties to the decision of the Licensing Authority have the right of appeal to Magistrates Court, in connection with this matter.  This must be done within 21 days of being notified in writing of the relevant decision.
